My name is Marin Nooni. I am a freelance textile artist and organiser of art workshops. I have studied to become a crafts and art teacher at Tallinn University (2002-2009) and textile design at the Estonian Academy of Arts (2019-2023). I have been practising in 2024 in Portugal. I am fascinated by the experimental nature of the textile world and I like the creative interpretation of everyday life themes. I enjoy collaborating with nature and the projects that come from it. Creating is my therapy:)
In 2023, the textile department of the Estonian Academy of Arts awarded me the Mari Adamson prize https://www.artun.ee/et/marin-nooni-on-mari-adamsoni-stipendiumi-laureaat/
I have been a member of the Estonian Textile Artists Union since 2024 https://www.tekstiilikunst.ee/liikmed
